CRUISE VISITORS EXPERIENCE AND LODGING
Aruba Cruise Tourism was impressed with the results of the Cruise visitors surveys where a tremendous interest was shown to visit Aruba again in the future, because of their cruise destination experience.
Based on a survey released by F.C.C.A. in 2006, and conducted by the BREA (Business Research Economic Analyst), Aruba resulted the NUMBER ONE destination in the Caribbean, voted voluntarily by cruise passengers.
The Aruba Kiosks hi-tech input data reveals that 67.2% of the cruise guests came to Aruba for the first time.
Of the repeaters, 47.9% came by sea, while 15.8% came to Aruba by air and 36.3% of those who visited Aruba before,came either by cruise or by plane.
73.2% revealed that the fact that Aruba was on the itineray, was the reason they chose the cruise vacation.
The majority 52.9% loved the beaches, 38.3% loved our Aruban people, 34.2% our climate and temperature, 30.5% sightseeing, and 15.9% the shopping facilities.
66.5% were very satisfied with our Oranjestad, Aruba port facilities.
The participants to the survey were 50.4% from United States, 8.1% from Mexico,7.0% from the Caribbean, 6.7% from Canada, 6.2% from Europe, and 5.1% from Latin America.
