Aruba reports an increase of 88.06% over the past ten years
The Aruba Cruise Tourism (ACT) reports a record-breaking increase of 88.06% in cruise passengers.
Remarkable is, that the cruise calls of 1995 and 2005 remained the same with a total of 311 calls, yet there was a significant shift of cruise passengers who visited Aruba.
This of course is due to the introduction of the mega cruise ships over the past years.
“Aruba’s infrastructure has room to grow,” said Ms. Kathleen Rojer of ACT.
The tour-operators and the taxi drivers formed an association, and the existing tour operators offering their quality service onboard the various cruise ships are ready to expand.
In 1995 Aruba welcomed 293,956 cruise passengers and by the end of 2005, 552,819 cruise guests visited Aruba, only the best.
The Aruba community welcomes all the cruise passengers to this lovely Dutch Caribbean Island, located in the Caribbean Sea, just outside the hurricane belt.
Aruba enjoys of year-round perfect weather, quality shopping and a variety of activities.
