Fall 2006: Aruba, the
multilingual cosmopolitan Dutch Caribbean country is facing her challenges of
geographic location with pride.
The cruise industry is
very important to Aruba’s economic development and yes the statistical data
showed that although with a decrease of 50% in cruise calls in June 2006, it
recorded an impressive increase of over 10% in cruise guests compared to June
2005.
Aruba’s cruise data showed
that for the first half of 2006, a modest decrease of 14.6% in cruise calls was
recorded, however an increase of 6% in cruise passengers arrivals was merit.
The fabulous increase of
6% was due to the fact that Aruba welcomed 321,114 cruise passengers over the first
six months of 2006 compared to 302,893 cruise passengers over the same period
of 2005.
Aruba offers a variety of
adventure shore excursions to cozy ambience, fine dining and nightlife
entertainment options.
Remarkably, Aruba being on the cruise itinerary was the leading factor why the cruise guests chose the cruise vacation and our data showed 62.3% were interested to return to Aruba either by air or on another cruise vacation.
