Oranjestad August 4, 2005. The Aruba Cruise Tourism (ACT) shares that the Carnival Destiny of Carnival Corporation, which usually calls Aruba every Friday, is chartered by a private group and did call Aruba today on Thursday August 4, 2005.
Aruba welcomes a total of 2615 cruise passengers and a total of 1082 crew, at the one happy port.
This is a chartered cruise by Cruise Festival and the group opted for a different schedule and chose to overnight in Aruba, leaving tomorrow, Friday at 4 p.m.
This is testimony that Aruba is a safe, courteous and a very clean island.
According to Kathleen Rojer Executive Director of ACT: “Cruise passengers are expressing joy to be able to overnight in Aruba and are booking a variety of excursions and evening entertainment.”
The Carnival crew, happy to be able to spend the night in Aruba organized a party at Havana Beach Club to celebrate and dance.
