Aruba meets Europe seminar
Aruba was the host for the “Aruba meets Europe” seminar, where various European tour operators visited the pristine island of Aruba to learn about the various positive developments taking place.
An orientation and business-meeting program was prepared by the A.T.A. and A.H.A.T.A.
During the inaugural day at the Renaissance Hotel, Executive Director of (ACT) Aruba Cruise Tourism, Ms. Kathleen Rojer met with amongst others, Mr. Rafael Estrada, Area Director Europe for the (ATA) Aruba Tourism Authority.
In close collaboration between ATA and ACT, an invitation was sent to Pullmantur, company to homeport with her cruise ship Blue Dream, starting November 4, 2006 in Aruba.
On this occasion Ms. Giorgia Cappabianca – International Sales Manager of Pullmantur Cruises met with Ms. Kathleen Rojer – Exec. Dir. ACT and dialogued on the various possibilities, focusing on home port and the cruise tours (pre and post opportunities.)
Ms. Cappabianca met with several key industry partners, like De Palm Tours, Mrs. Geraldine Keyter – Cruise Manager, Mr. Richard Lacle of Aruba Ports Authority NV, Mr. Hensley Beaujon of S.E.L. Maduro & Sons, Miss Margaret Croes of Aruba Airport Authority NV, and various hoteliers for an inspection.
Ms. Cappabianca was hosted by Radisson Aruba Beach Resort & Casino and took the opportunity to formalize and introduce herself to the Aruban local industry partners.
